A Huge Dermoid Cyst of Submental Region

Abstract
|
|
|
Dermoid cyst of the submental region is known as a rare disease.
This is a kind of dysontogenetic cyst which developed from a misplaced fetal inclusion Dysontogenetic cyst can be classified into epidermoid, dermoid, and teratoid cyst.
Recently the authors have experienced one case of huge dermoid cyst of the submental region. Surgically the cyst was completely removed uneventfully.
Histopathologically the final diagnosis was confirmed as dermoid cyst.
